BIG NEWS: bebe coming April 2019 !!!

We are so excited to finally share that we are expecting our first little bebe in April!
It’s been fun/exciting/and every other emotion that’s usually attached to something this life-changing. We are over the moon. We found out around August, waited a week to tell family, and then waited until now to tell friends. We finally broke the news to a lot of our closest friends when we saw them in person over the last week or so and the next best way to spread news is naturally Instagram + socials.
We’re so excited that we’ll be getting to go home for Thanksgiving and Christmas with this exciting news and can’t wait for all this years holiday photos to feature a little bump.

As far as my pregnancy has been, I feel like I won the lottery. It’s been so good and I feel really lucky that I didn’t experience a lot of the typical first trimester morning sickness that you associate with the beginning of pregnancy. I really feel like I cheated the system somehow because I know how hard it can be for some moms and my heart goes out to them! During the first trimester I was pretty exhausted and would fall asleep around 3pm every single day for who knows how long — afternoon naps were unavoidable, but I was fine with that and luckily have a flexible enough schedule that allowed it most of the time. Now that I’m in the second trimester, the exhaustion has passed and I’m feeling pretty solid. Albeit, bloated, but that’s to be expected as baby is picking up steam in the growth department.
I’m officially over 17 weeks pregnant! I haven’t had any weird cravings like pickles and/or ice cream.  In fact, I haven’t really wanted dessert all that much, but I do always want Italian food, and I mean always. (This little bambino is clearly taking after their Dad!) I’ve also consistently craved french fries — so between all the avocado toast, salads, and smoothies - we’ve definitely made our fair share of trips to Chick-fil-a, because this southern momma just needs waffle fries sometimes.
If you know me, you know I already can’t wait to get started on designing the nursery (duh).

We are settling into our baby moon trip (!) and I thought a little extended post would be a fun way to let you guys in on our biggest secret ever.
I’m super excited to share this season on the blog with posts about how I’m tackling maternity style, skincare, the nursery, our registry etc! We’re naturally seeking out non-toxic toys and clothes for this sweet little thing while staying true to our style. So expect some momma + baby posts mixed in with the regular scheduled programming and let me know what you guys want to hear about!
Can’t wait to share more,
xx
