Here’s a little vlog + post sharing what our typical Saturday morning looks like!
Saturday mornings are one of my favorite things. Carman and I have made a point to spend quality time together Saturday mornings before he has to leave for work around 1:30. Since Carman works on the weekends, our Saturday morning time is really the only weekend time we get together.
Instead of sleeping in like most people, we are up and at ‘em to make the most of our morning together.
By 9am: we are up! The windows are open, we’ve got a record on and are drinking coffee and tea respectively.
10:30am : We’re gearing up to leave the house. I'm always looking for quick but cute outfits to throw on for our market dates to get us out the door fast! Next we're grabbing our camera and market bag because…
By 11am : We are at the farmers market! We frequent the Silverlake Farmers Market - grabbing a croissant (maybe a coffee when we run out of time to make it at home) while we walk around, scanning all the new vintage for any must haves (I regret not leaving with that cutie polkda-dot dress!) and picking up some fresh fruits and veggies for the week. I love being able to shop our produce locally and grab what's in season - fruits and veggies are always better when they're fresh and thriving in the season they're meant to grow in!
11:30-12: We might pop in for brunch somewhere on Sunset blvd, or just walk around if the weather is great. One of my favorite things to do is walk around our favorite areas and pop in and out of all the cute stores.
12-1: At this point we are wrapping up our morning and heading back home for Carman to get ready to leave for work.
romper: SisterLB, gold necklace, earrings and bracelet: Mejuri, straw purse: vintage, sunglasses: Rayban, shoes: Everlane |
The romper featured in this post is from the local Long Beach shop, SisterLB, AND I LOVE IT! I visited this shop a few weeks ago and immediately fell in love. I love supporting small shops and the people who run them (and shopping locally for my clothes as well as my veggies!).
I had the pleasure of shopping with Katherine, the boss babe who owns Sister and she helped me pick out a few new pieces to add to my closet.
This romper is going to be my go to piece for Spring — it’s so comfortable and makes getting dressed a breeze while still looking put together (God bless a one piece outfit). Not only does Sister host a few different brands and designs, she also stocks the dreamiest vintage denim and other hand picked vintage pieces! I know I'll be keeping my eye out on her denim stock as she offers an insanely great price for hand picked denim! Follow Katherine on Instagram to see all the new items in the store, @sisterlb!
love it
